  Orleans very 1st album was released by ABC Dunhill in the fall of 1973, in the same batch as Steely Dan's and Rufus' 1st albums. Recorded in Muscle Shoals AL and produced by famed session players Roger Hawkins (drums/percussion) and Barry Beckett (piano/keys). Each of them sprinkled some of their magic playing on this record.
  
  Orleans' self-produced 2nd album was recorded in the winter of '73-74 at Bearsville Studios (Bearsville/Woodstock NY). Despite early versions of Let There Be Music and Dance With Me, ABC "did not hear any hits", dropped the band from the label and only released the album in one place ... The Netherlands, where Orleans had developed a rabid fan base from the 1st album. It was later released in the US, but only after Dance With Me and Still the One had become mega-hits.
  
  The style of these early outings is very similar, and now you have them both in one package.
